SUPPORTED INDEPENDENT LIVING
SIL is practical support with everyday life at home. We work with you to understand your routines, build skills and support the choices you want to make.

Support is planned around the individual. We discuss the assistance you need, how you prefer to receive it and the goals you want to work towards.
Personal care and routines: assistance with showering, dressing and everyday tasks, according to your agreed support plan.
Meals and household tasks: support with meal planning, cooking, cleaning, laundry and keeping daily routines organised.
Building independence: practise household skills and make decisions about your day, with the level of support you need.
Planning together: involve family or your support coordinator if you choose, discuss household compatibility and plan a suitable transition.
SIL pays for support, rather than the house itself. Accommodation costs, your funding arrangements and any additional support requirements are discussed separately.
